Great location on Chapel Street. Restaurants, Tesco & shopping within walking distance. Really helpful and friendly staff. Option for cooked breakfast comes with the cost of the room + coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit, and cereal items too. Friendly and helpful staff. Front desk helped us get a taxi, which was very nice. Overall good experience.

I liked the artwork and the decor of the inn. It was very convenient to have a lounge for an early breakfast or evening dinner/drink. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom was great with a heated towel holder and rainfall shower. I also loved the natural lotions and soaps that were free. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

Easy self-check in even though we arrived late at night.
Mike, Ally & Elvis are wonderful hosts. Mike recommended lots of places that we shouldn’t miss in Cornwall.
The living room and breakfast room are beautiful. Lots of breakfast choices and the hot foods are well prepared and delicious.
Free parking on street is convenient.

Breakfast was ok. Ingredients average quality. Bed comfortable. Few too many notices of rules that could be combined into simple list. Very convenient for transport from train and shuttle to Lands End Airport. Room small but fine for a single night stay

Fabulous town, it’s got culture, it’s got architecture, it’s got a great rugby club, it’s got a busy harbour’ it’s got great cafes and restaurants, a stunning promenade and a lot more besides!
Check out what’s going on at The Acorn Theatre which is brilliant.
For a shortish trip see what’s on at The Minack. Best beaches are Sennen, Porthcurno, the Lelant ones, the St. Ives ones, Hayle Towans and Praa Sands. Perranuthnoe beach is good at low tide.
Go to St Ives by train - the view from St Erth into St Ives is breathtaking !

Glad we got tickets for the Minack Theatre and explored the Gobal Telecommunications Museum, took the Coaster bus several tiimes, including to Land's End and walked the Coastal path to Sennen. Enjoyed the Penlee art gallery, especially in the midst of reading "Summer in February." Enjoyed a meal at the oldest pub, and at the Longboat Inn. The staff at the Info Centre were the best - gave us so many tips and set us on the right buses.

i like walking on the promenade, along to Newlyn, took the Mounts Bay coast path to Marazion, took the bus to Trengwainton gardens- lovely to see the magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias - interesting walks round the gardens and a lovely cafe with friendly staff and good food.
Visited Trewidden gardens by bus and also took the train to St. Ives- a lovely scenic run along the coast.
Penzance town has a nice selection of shops and it is worth exploring the back streets and the area round Chapel street. On previous visits have been to the Morrab gardens and other parks. Penzance is easy to walk round, has a good bus service and the tourist information staff are very knowledgable and helpful.

Went in the end of February, it was a quiet time with everything closing by 10pm, and last buses leaving early, but it's just as lovely if not more so as any other time of the year could be. Even for hiking, if you get ready for the wind, the rain, the fog, the mud and the cold.

We came in February so not very busy.
We came in February so not very busy. Many places to walk around, lovely garden in the center of town. Great beach, St Michael's Mount very close by. St Ives also not far away. Great place as a bae to see Cornwall.
Went as a family of 7 for one night. It was perfect for us in Penzance. Room was plenty big enough for all of us - 3 bunk beds and enough space to set up our portable crib. Toilet and shower was outside of the room, but was convenient and clean. Also got the full English breakfast which was fresh cooked and we thought was a good value as well.
Kids always love the bunk bed experience. Wife loved the setting of the hotel. I loved the value. Would definitely return.
The hotel was lovely and the service was incredible. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. The location was spot on. We were based in Penzance and did day trips from there. The only thing was the room was very small and had a slight funny smell. I believe the hotel had recently changed owners, so was undergoing some renovation. I thought the room could have been slightly better based on the rate we were paying. But other than that, it was great.
Friendly proprietor and the more sociable atmosphere of breakfast in a guest house environment rather than a hotel - an excellent breakfast at that - freshly cooked to guests' 'specifications'. Convenient for buses and trains from Penzance to other Cornish destinations including outstanding views from the South West Coast Path tackled after a hearty breakfast and a packed lunch requested. Access to kitchen facilities are a bonus.
The location was great - very easy to get to any places within Penzance. There were lots of tasty restaurants nearby as well, shops and art galleries too. The full English breakfast was absolutely delicious! The room was warm and the spacious. I also loved the antique decorations around the hotel, very nice touch. Moderately quiet location, although admittedly we stayed during week days, not sure how it is on weekends.
The Summer House hotel is easy to find, has enough parking for its guests and is perfectly placed for a stay in Penzance. Trevor and Kirsten are the best hosts. Welcoming and helpful without being interfering. The rooms are very well setup, comfortable and have everything you could need.
There is a lounge and a courtyard garden, unfortunately we didn’t really get the weather to enjoy the garden but maybe next time..
This apartment is in a perfect location to visit penzance, Marazion, St ives & many more beautiful places including the beach that's walking distance.
Spacious & very well equipped with everything you need. Fantastic views of St Michael's Mount.
We visited the Mount view hotel that's in walking distance of the apartment that offered great food at a good price. Bus service outside the house every hour.
A very nice older building with well appointed rooms. Very close to the waterfront and great walks back to Penzance and Newlyn, where there were some great seafood restaurants. Close to St Michaels Mount, just remember to check the weather as you may have a bumpy boat ride in front of you. The hotel is easy to access and while parking is in the street, there is no problems finding a spot near by.
Breakfast and evening meals were excellent with a fair choice of dishes, basic and gourmet.
The room we chose offered a separate dressing room and the views from the room were over Penzance and harbour with a side view to St. Michael's Mount. This was the highest priced option but well worth the extra.
The Hotel was a short walk from Penzance Rail Station and facilities were nearby.
The hotel has a great location and all the staff are friendly. I don’t usually sleep very well away when I’m away from home, but I have a lovey sleep here. I love looking at all the antique furniture dotted around and the hotel it is airy, with lots of space. I also like eating my evening meal and breakfast with the beautiful sea view.
The people who work there are kind and considerate, many thanks to them. I liked the Cornwall design. For the dinner, we sat at a table with a great view on the harbor and the blue sea and palm trees. The hotel is very close to a large public parking that is not expensive. It is also quite close to the Scillonian ferry port.
The Queens Hotel is a beautiful and historic building. The staff are excellent and the waiting staff in the restaurant were really friendly and obliging. Super sea front view room with a very comfortable bed. Two comfortable chairs and table with huge t.v screen. Very tasty breakfast, freshly cooked.
Cosy place at a good location and friendly staff. We had a comfortable stay.
Breakfast was very good and Alan very helpfully let us store our luggage at the hotel even after check out time as we had a late train to catch back to London.
Would love to stay here again the next time we're in Penzance.
Excellent choice of breakfasts including cooked to order. Personable, helpful owners made us feel welcome! Good location for us to walk from train and around Penzance, and not uphill! Liked the bottled milk in tiny fridge for tea and coffee, and the books to read.
Breakfast was excellent and location was good as I had a car, but there is a regular bus service into Penzance and the bus stop is right outside the Hotel. Room was clean and warm and had a double bed and one single bed, so good for a family with one kid,
great location, easy walk to Penzance train station, very clean, great light breakfast, great washroom, very quiet, close to a lovely pub, Wi-Fi was excellent
We were taking the ferry to the Scilly isles. The hotel is two minutes walk from the terminal so couldn't be in a better position. The break fast is lovely.
